What is COVID-19 testing New Zealand and how does it work?
COVID-19 Testing New Zealand is community initiative put together by proactive New Zealanders to assist in the fight against COVID-19.
Our aim is to support Ministry of Health efforts by accelerating the rate of tests being conducted in New Zealand.
We are leveraging the power of community buying to unlock access to in-home COVID-19 test kits that would have otherwise been reserved for frontline health workers and out of reach of everyday New Zealanders.
So how does this work?
1. We locate reliable FDA approved in-home test kits in the USA.
2. You decide you would like to have a test kit on-hand to test yourself or a loved one for COVID-19.
3. You pre-order an in-home test kit through our website, entering your credit card details, delivery address etc.
4. We set a ‘pre-order target’. Once enough people have pre-ordered, your credit card is debited and manufacturing begins.
5. Once manufactured, we air freight the kits into New Zealand and deliver your order right to your door.
Once the pre-order target has been reached, delivery is expected to take between x and x days depending on where you live in NZ.
How did you choose and source your products?
We worked with FDA approved manufacturers in the USA to source FDA approved kits used in the fight against COVID-19 in America.
How accurate are your tests?
Our test kits come with a x% reliability rate.
Are your test kits approved?
All of our test kits are approved by the US FDA and meet strict FDA guidelines.
How do I take the test?

Should you require more support, our customer care team is available to chat on the website 24 hours a day.
The pre-order target has been reached. Can you include my order?
Unfortunately not. Once the target has been reached orders are closed. But don’t worry – orders will re-open soon after. Subscribe to our email newsletter and we will notify once we are taking orders again.
Ordering
The pre-order target wasn’t reached. Now what?
We know how disappointing that is. But, if there are not enough customers to place an order with the factory, there’s nothing we can do about it. Global demand for test kits is at an all-time high. This means factory MOQ’s are up and being strictly enforced. Rest assured, we do not charge your credit card unless the pre-order quantity is met. The best way to ensure the target is reached is to tell your friends and help build the momentum. The more orders we get, the sooner Kiwis have access to test kits.
Do you offer AfterPay?
We hope to be able to offer after pay and other lay-buy services in the near future.
Is there a limit on how many I can order?
Yes. In the interest of public health, we are limiting orders to 10 kits per household for now. This will ensure there are enough to go around.
We are offering bulk for health care companies including nursing homes. We are also offering bulk orders for essential service companies supporting front line efforts.
I've placed my order–when do I get charged?
Your credit card only gets charged once the ‘pre-order target’ quantity has been met. If the minimum quantity is not met, the deal doesn’t go through and your credit card will not be charged.
Refunds and returns?
Once a test kit has been delivered it cannot be returned. However, your order is fully refundable at any time before the pre-order target is reached. Refund requests should be sent to x can we get an automated click button refund in the confirmation email?
Shipping
How much is shipping?
How do we add shipping after they order? Does it auto calculate based on where they live in check out or do we need to set a flat rate?
Do you ship to rural addresses?
Absolutely!
How do I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched from our warehouse you will receive a notification via email. This email will have a tracking link in it. Simply follow the link to see the status of your order.
What if my order doesn’t show up?
Once an order has been dispatched from our warehouse it enters the care of your local courier company. If you haven’t received your order you will need to contact your courier to find out where it is. This can be done by using the tracking link in your dispatch email. If they are unable to help, contact the customer care team at help@covid19testingnewzealand.co.nz for assistance.
What if there is an issue with my test kit?
Should there be a problem with your kit when it arrives, simply reach out to our customer care team and they will send out a new one.
